“As a key audience for Explorathon, we want our researchers to inform and inspire young people. By working on this exciting project the content produced by young people will be informed by science and ensure their creations become a powerful resource in provoking debate about how society addresses climate change challenges.”

Explorathon

Researchers from Scottish universities are engaged in a range of projects investigating the impact of climate change, coming up with solutions to mitigate this or ultimately reduce carbon emissions. Explorathon’s researchers supported the young people participating in Phone Call to the World by supplying a range of scientific research and educational materials; including podcasts, statistical resources, interactive databases, online papers and films. This material encouraged the young participants to come to their own conclusions about how climate change is currently addressed, what needs changed and how they can communicate their ideas, both as individuals and on a collaborative front.
